test: vinyl/split_coalesce: check that space is recovered correctly 

 - Make vinyl/split_coalesce restart the server and check the space
   content after splitting and coalescing ranges.
 - Do not split ranges in vinyl/recover test, as it is now tested by
   vinyl/split_coalesce test.

Needed for #2397
